[PRESS RELEASE] Support the Academic Olympics in Samosir, Regal Springs Indonesia Campaigns “Gemarikan”

Samosir, April 6, 2024 – In an ongoing effort to support education programs and promote the importance of fish consumption, Regal Springs Indonesia (PT Aqua Farm Nusantara) once again advocates for the government’s national program “Popularizing Fish Consumption” (Gemarikan) during the Elementary School (SD) Subject Olympiad at Asisi Tomok Private Middle School in Simanindo District, Samosir Regency, North Sumatra on Saturday (06/04).

Head of Legal & Corporate Affairs at Regal Springs Indonesia, Arum P. Handayani emphasized that Regal Springs Indonesia is currently striving to actively promote the importance of consuming protein from fish.

“Activities like these are the company’s top priority to raise public awareness about the importance of consuming fish from an early age for health,” said Arum.

On this occasion, the Head of Asisi Middle School, Sister Zita Simarmata, expressed appreciation to Regal Springs Indonesia for their support. “We thank the donors, especially PT Aqua Farm Nusantara, who have provided lunch with a special menu featuring tilapia fish for around 200 students today. The importance of consuming protein must continue to be promoted,” said Sister Zita.

Popularizing Fish Consumption (Gemarikan) is a national program initiated by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries since 2004. Its aim is to promote the importance of early fish consumption due to the significant nutritional content in fish essential for growth and brain development.

Regal Springs Indonesia is continuously supporting the national “Gemarikan” program through participation in various events and company-initiated programs. One ongoing CSR program is Supplementary Feeding (PMT). Throughout 2023, more than 10,000 food packages were distributed to communities in the company’s operational areas.
