Medan, March 18, 2022 – Regal Springs Indonesia recognizes the importance of fostering the character development of the nation’s children through optimal access to education. As a form of support for the “Resilient Village” program by the Serdang Berdagai Regency Government, Regal Springs Indonesia has handed over infrastructure support in the form of Learning Pavilions and other educational assistance to three villages in the vicinity of the company’s operational area, namely Sei Nagalawan Village, Lubuk Bayas Village in Perbaungan District, and Naga Kisar Village in Pantai Cermin District, North Sumatra.
The provision of Learning Pavilions is part of Regal Springs Indonesia’s KAMI PEDULI (We Care) community program under the education pillar. This program is conducted in collaboration with Sei Nagalawan Village, Pantai Cermin Subdistrict, Sergai Regency. “So far, the Learning Pavilions have been warmly received by children who come to study. In the future, this facility can be used by children outside of school hours or for youth activities, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, where children need additional learning hours conducted in open spaces by teachers,” said Dian Octavia, Head of Sustainability & Community Affairs at Regal Springs Indonesia.
In addition to the open learning space infrastructure, Regal Springs Indonesia has also provided scholarships for academically outstanding students from less privileged families and assistance to dozens of teachers spread across Perbaungan and Pantai Cermin Districts, with a total value of more than IDR 40 million.

The Head of Sei Nagalawan Village, Mahyarudin Salim S.H.I, appreciates the company’s role and contribution in the field of education to support community activities in Sei Nagalawan Village. “We are also very grateful for the provision of the learning pavilion and study space provided by Regal Springs Indonesia, which can be used for various village activities such as a meeting place for teenagers and a village health post. Hopefully, it can be utilized to the fullest,” Mahyarudin expressed during the facility handover ceremony (March 10).
The inauguration event was attended by the Head of Perbaungan Subdistrict, Muhammad Fahmi S.TP, MAP, the Commander of Military District 07/PB, Captain Kav. Ishak Iskandar, the Chief of Perbaungan Police, AKP. M. Pandiangan, SH, as well as teachers, students, local community figures, and religious leaders.
Regal Springs Indonesia has been actively supporting the Resilient Village program for COVID-19 management in Serdang Berdagai since mid-2021. This includes providing healthcare equipment to several villages, conducting COVID-19 prevention awareness campaigns and education in collaboration with local health centers, organizing mass vaccination drives, and distributing supplementary food packages to support nutritional intake, among other initiatives.
