Ajibata, November 5, 2020 – PT AquaFarm Nusantara (PT AFN) conducted a COVID-19 socialization program to the community last week, becoming the first company to do so in the Ajibata Subdistrict, Toba Regency.
This was stated by the Head of Ajibata Community Health Center, Dr. Palmina Sihombing, during the socialization sessions in Pardomoan Village and Pardamean Village, Ajibata Subdistrict, Toba Regency, on Friday (1/30). “We highly appreciate PT Aqua Farm Nusantara’s efforts in conducting COVID-19 prevention socialization in the Ajibata Subdistrict. This is the first time a company in the vicinity of the Ajibata Sub District has conducted COVID-19 socialization in synergy with the Community Health Center,” said Dr. Palmina Sihombing.
The COVID-19 socialization activities carried out by PT Aqua Farm Nusantara were also appreciated by the Head of Pardomuan Tambatua Sirait Village and the Head of Pardamean Village, Irma Sirait. “We highly appreciate and thank you for conducting the COVID-19 socialization in our village,” said Irma Sirait, the Head of Pardamean Village.

The COVID-19 Socialization Event in Pardomoan Village and Pardamean Village, Ajibata Subdistrict, Toba Regency, is part of PT AquaFarm Nusantara’s KAMI PEDULI (We Care) Sustainability Program. “We conducted this event in collaboration with the Ajibata Sub District Health Center and the village government, and it was attended by 80 participants,” said Dian Octavia, Corporate & Community Affairs Senior Manager at PT AquaFarm Nusantara.

The participants of the socialization were the heads of the community health centers, village heads, representatives from the Ajibata Subdistrict, village government officials, Village Consultative Board (BPD), health volunteers, integrated health post (Posyandu) workers, child health volunteers, youth volunteers, village chiefs, and village residents. The socialization with the theme “COVID-19: Dangers and Prevention” was delivered interactively through singing songs. The event also included education on proper handwashing techniques and the distribution of leaflets and masks.
“The health and safety of our employees and the surrounding community are our priorities. We are collaborating with local governments to conduct COVID-19 socialization to the communities around our company’s operations in Serdang Bedagai Regency and Toba Regency,” said Dian.
Previously, as part of the KAMI PEDULI Community Program for COVID-19, PTAN distributed face masks, hand soap, disinfectant materials, portable handwashing facilities, health equipment, and health education materials to the community and community health centers to help reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission.
