Tilapia Roulade

Ingredients

For the roulade filling :

  • Regal Springs Indonesia Tilapia Fillet: 350 g
  • Garlic: 2 cloves
  • Shallots: 2 cloves
  • Salt: as needed
  • Seasoning powder: as needed
  • Ground pepper: as needed
  • Cornstarch: 1 tbsp
  • Carrot: 1 piece
  • Celery: as needed

For the roulade wrapper :

  • Eggs: 2
  • Salt: as needed
  • All-purpose flour: 4 tbsp
  • Water: 50 ml

Instructions

  • Mix all the ingredients for the roulade filling, set aside.
  • Mix all the ingredients for the roulade wrapper. Heat a non-stick pan greased with margarine.
  • Pour an appropriate amount of the batter into the pan to form a full round shape. Once the wrapper starts to peel off, remove from the pan and set aside.
  • Pour the roulade filling onto the egg wrapper, spread it evenly with a spoon, then roll it up.
  • Roll it again with banana leaves and secure it with toothpicks on both sides.
  • Heat a steamer pot, steam for about 20 minutes or until the banana leaves change color, then remove from heat.
  • Unwrap the banana leaves, remove the filling, and cut it into desired pieces. Fry briefly and then remove from the pan.
  • The Tilapia Roulade is ready to be served.
